Twenty years after its theatrical release, one of Tim Burton's and international animation cinema's masterpieces returns to the big screen at Giunti Odeon. 19th century. The young and insecure Victor is about to marry his peer Victoria in a marriage arranged by his parents. The two meet for the first time during the rehearsal of the ceremony and, fortunately for them, there is an immediate spark. To their misfortune, however, Victor is so nervous that he is terribly clumsy, leading to the postponement of the wedding. Dismayed by what has happened, he takes refuge in the nearby forest to practise pronouncing the wedding oath. To make sure he performs each step perfectly, he even slips his wedding ring into a branch peeping out of the ground. Suddenly, however, the skeleton of a woman dressed as a bride emerges from the ground: she says her name is Emily and she intends to make Victor fulfil his involuntary promise of love. The film will be presented by a special guest: Carlos Grangel, who created the film's characters for Tim Burton and is one of today's leading Character Designer (his work has been exhibited in some of the world's most important cultural institutions, including the MoMa in New York and the Cinématheque Francais in Paris).
