The prize:
Renowned for the high quality of its submissions, the Racconti nella Rete® literary prize has selected a remarkable collection of stories for its twenty-third edition. More fascinating stories can be discovered on the official website (www.raccontinellarete.it). As in previous years, this edition highlights stories that explore emotions, relationships, family dynamics, and love, featuring original plots and innovative narrative approaches. This demonstrates that new ideas can always emerge, despite the large number of texts submitted over the years.
Founded in 2002 by Demetrio Brandi, the prize has established itself as Italy’s most important competition for emerging writers. Each year, original and engaging stories spark a wonderfully productive creative process, offering readers a unique and valuable experience—one that both entertains and inspires reflection. Among the 500+ authorspublished in the Racconti nella Rete® anthologies, many have gone on to achieve great literary success.
The competition is open to all, regardless of age, and welcomes submissions of short stories, children's tales, or short film scripts. The project runs throughout the year via www.raccontinellarete.it and is supported by a series of anthology presentations in various Italian cities. The official award ceremony takes place during the LuccAutori®festival, scheduled in Lucca in October.
The 2024 anthology will feature a cover illustration by Marilena Nardi.
