And don't miss, on the big screen at 11:45 PM, Carrie by Brian De Palma (original language with italian subtitles)

The Documentary:

Vampiro per caso: La vera storia di Dracula is an Italian-Romanian co-production by Syusy Blady, produced by Per Caso Srl and Mircea Cosma with the Cultural-Historical Society Mihai Viteazul, in collaboration with the Romanian Ministry of Tourism. The documentary explores the mystery surrounding the historical figure of Vlad Tepes, the prince of Wallachia, known as Dracula. Living in the 1400s, Vlad Tepes was a defender of Christianity during a period of intense conflict with the Ottoman Empire. His bloody reputation was amplified by Bram Stoker’s novel, which transformed him into a legendary vampire.

The film is an investigative journey that begins at the Snagov Monastery in Romania and continues through significant locations in Vlad Tepes' life, such as Comana, Sighisoara, and Bran Castle. The investigation focuses on the mystery of his burial, with the hypothesis that Tepes' body may have been transferred to Italy, possibly in the crypt of Acerenza in Basilicata or the monumental tomb of the Ferillo Family in the Cloister of St. James of the Marches at Santa Maria la Nova in Naples. There's even a theory that he may not have died in Romania but lived incognito in Italy and died there. Another intriguing part is the visit to the enigmatic epitaph in the Chapel of St. James of the Marches, brought to attention by Giuseppe Reale, director of the museum site.
